Even in the elimination challenge, when Tara stopped working and walked away because she was in so much pain, her competitor, Swifty, offered to take a break because he, too, was exhausted.
He was pleading with her to stop and then continue when they were both ready, which is just incredibly impressive. Mikey did not face any immediate consequence for that. He returned for the individual competition. So why did he disappear in the episode following it? Was he removed from the competition for violating its rules? I think he should have been removed after that incident. Or did they wait until between episodes? If it had been intentional, we would have to deal with it.
Of course, there are many other reasons people might have to leave reality TV competitions, including personal or family-related things. I have asked CBS publicist those questions, including if the dock incident was related to his exit.
Update: March 5, Phil said this:. We do have some zero tolerance rules. Mike Bloom asked Phil about how the show chose to communicate that to viewers i. We do have some zero-tolerance rules. Keoghan reiterated that there are no do-overs after a person has crossed a line and none of it was a surprise for the contestants because they were very well aware of the rules.
While some speculated family troubles, others said that his fall in the Individual Challenge might have left him unfit to continue competing in the show.
However, as Keoghan revealed, Mikey broke some rules off-camera, which resulted in him being disqualified from the competition series. Why did he go? One of the most interesting things about this departure on Wednesday was the simple fact that the show never quite specified the reason for his departure. Eyebrows joins Tara as contestants who have departed this season — we know that her exit has to do with an injury situation. Our feeling is that if Eyebrows departed due to injury, the show probably would have specified that or given him more of a send-off.
What makes these departures notable is that they come on a show where in theory, the entire cast is supposed to be around for the whole season.
