Why hidden requests on facebook

As ever, one of the best things you can do to keep your child safe using any social media app, or when going online in general, is to 1 talk to them about the possible safety implications of the platforms they are using, 2 teach them how to block users they don't want to talk to, and 3 encourage them to come to you or an adult they trust if anyone they talk to online does anything to make them feel upset or uncomfortable.

H M S In the news. Sam Shead. Open the Facebook Messenger app. Tap "Settings" in the bottom right-hand corner. Select the "People" option. And then "Message Requests. Tap the "See filtered requests" option, which sits under any existing requests you have. And here you have it — a little-known place on Facebook Messenger full of unread messages.
