Those darn kids were always trying to get away with something, but Mrs. Brady was always on top of things as was Mr. They knew that kids are not perfect and that didn't change their love for the children, but they also knew how to get their children to be better people.
Remember, your mother may be ignoring something you've done wrong, but she certainly knows about it. When Mrs. Brady has a car accident and gets accused of reckless driving, she goes into full battle mode, taking it to court and winning. She gets help from her husband, of course, which goes to show that we shouldn't fight all our battles on our own, but we should fight them when we're right.
The Brady kids had different life goals--from astronaut to painter. Brady didn't stand in their way saying, "No, you must do this!
She and Mr. Brady gave guidance, of course, and pointed out stupid ideas, but when Jan wanted to paint, they let her paint. Presuming that Mrs. Brady's first husband didn't die on Tuesday and she married Mr. Brady on Wednesday, there was a period in which Carol had to support her daughters.
She's a capable woman. After marriage, though, she became a housewife, but that didn't stop her from using her talents. She writes, creates art, sings, and volunteers for the PTA.
Pay or no pay, never stop being who you are. Brady confides in Mr. Brady about her worries, but she isn't too in-depth with her thoughts on the children's activities. Those Brady kids go through a lot of identity crises, often revolving around their hair.
Carol shows concern and tries to help Greg, Marcia, Peter, Jan, Bobby, and Cindy, but she is pretty private when it comes to the deeper psychological developments of the children. Mike usually handles the one-on-one disciplining, and he zeroes in on underlying issues pretty well. It would be nice to know more of what Carol's thinking in all those episodes, though. Speaking of hair, Carol Brady has some beautiful locks. She gets her hair restyled as the fashions change throughout the show, which is understandable.
The poofy bob of the early days gradually turns into the signature shag of the 70s. Meanwhile, Mr. Brady lets his hair morph into a curly 'do. The confusing thing is that the other kids usually garner attention if they alter their hair significantly, but no one says much about it to Mrs. Carol and Mike Brady are a nice couple, but they don't have many deep conversations. They talk about their kids or their house or Mike's job. Carol doesn't completely lack autonomy, but Mike calls most of the shots around there.
Carol is a smart lady who sometimes speaks her mind, so one would think she could be even more assertive as she walks the halls in her bold fashions. Carol doesn't get much of a backstory once she becomes Mrs. Brady in the first episode. Fans get a very limited window into relationships with extended family members, like Aunt Jenny.
There also are not too many stories regaling the parents' youth or childhood years. Carol Brady is a character in The Brady Bunch. She was played by Florence Henderson. Her first husband, Daniel Alan Martin, disappeared without an explanation, leaving her to raise their three girls, Marcia , Jan , and Cindy , on her own. She is the perfect match for Michael Paul Brady.
Together they make a perfectly symmetrical family. For her time, Carol is a liberated woman. Although she chooses to be a stay-at-home mom, she is anything but a housewife. She's a freelance writer, a sculptor, a political activist, and a singer.
